Our Story
I’m Alex, and what started in 2014 with a single coffee van (and a dream) has now become West Berkshire Roastery - complete with two coffee roasters and a Labrador who thinks he’s the CEO.
Along the way, I uncovered some truths: coffee is the planet’s most sprayed crop. Pesticides? Chemicals? Absolutely everywhere. So, I ditched the usual beans and went on a quest for the good stuff: direct-traded coffees that don’t come with a side of artificial pesticides.
With a bit of Berkshire flair and caffeine-fuelled creativity, I’m here to bring you one of the finest (and cleanest) coffee experiences you’ll ever sip. I hope you’ll agree. It’s coffee refreshingly drama free.

Our Roastery Collection consisting of Signature Gold, Black Gold & White Gold is fully independently lab tested for artificial pesticides, moulds and mycotoxins.
They are also 100% naturally grown, free of pesticides & glyphosate.

More on the coffee farm:
Situated high in the mountains amongst the beautiful flora and fauna of Tolima, Colombia, you'll find Jorge's farm. The coffee beans are hand-picked and then washed by pure spring waters.
This is globally one of the most difficult and logistically challenging of origins, with a hair raising 4 day journey that climbs to almost 5000m to cross the mighty Andes to get this coffee to port - a journey worth every step!
WBR coffee pods are designed to produce a 25ml (short) - 35ml (long) espresso shot.
Please note that most coffee pod machines are pre-programmed for Nespresso® pods that produce anything from 40ml (short) -110ml (long) therefore it's important you refer to your machine user manual to adjust the settings - to avoid disappointment with the output.
Our coffee pods are compatible with all domestic drop through Nespresso® machines (excluding professional, in built models and the Vertuo machines)
